Linda Marmion, real estate specialist with Remax in Long Beach CA, thought there were just too many unique features in this fabulous Cypress home to leave to just a photo brochure alone. So when she commissioned JRM to produce a "Video Hightlight Tour" for today's discriminating buyer who is connected to the information rich web and looking for that something special, I was only too happy to oblige. Besides, it was Linda who first showed this house to me and my wife 12 years ago and now is proudly representing us in our search to find another buyer who, like us, enjoys friends, family and entertaining in the perfect spot to do just that!

Marie Callender's is famous for those pies, but food costs are a primary concern too. When Nick Saba asked JRM to help with a series of training videos for new menu items food prep, two goals were met. First, a new level of consistency in portions, preparation and presentation was achieved. Second, and maybe more importantly, food costs overall took a .5 of a percent drop across the chain, no small chunk of change! Que bueno! The Anaheim Angels beat the San Francisco Giants in 2002 to win the World Series. That's when Cox Business of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, a J.D. Power Award winner for Best Data Service, asked JRM to help thank their own team for hitting new heights. A new menu rollout or promotion for Hooters (Hootwinc, based in Vista CA) means getting a lot of information out and "down the line" in a timely manner. With JRM's help, they've discovered that video, over memos, emails or manuals, wins the toss for "calling the play," letting the team know "the call" and "executing to score big" with every client walking through the door. Teamwork between JRM and world renowned illustrator Dave Titus of Mammoth Lakes resulted in a successful project completion for Medtronic Inc of Minneapolis. Projected onto giant screens and monitors, this video celebrated the success of Medtronic's OBCAB heart procedure for 1,000,000 people worldwide. Music was of primary concern and JRM selected 3 separate tracks, edited and mixed to time, then married them to Dave's powerful, understated visuals which crystalized the message for attendees of the presentation at the CAS Planetarium.

Wanna get away?

Absolutely yes. And the last time I did in a big way was last September. It was on the day that "the stock markets crashed and Wall St fell into the dumper." as the radio reported before I turned it off not to be distracted from the adventure awaiting me.

And then for the next 11 days and 50mi. while things began their plunge downward, I walked, climbed, and scrambled upward hiking the back country of the high Sierra Nevada mountains. With me were a few great fellows who all share that same feeling: "Sometimes, you just gotta get away!" Most of them seasoned veterans, I'm a relative neophyte having started only 2 years ago. But now I'm hooked. It was glorious, grueling, exhausting, exhilarating and a host of other adjectives that had never fit so well in describing anything else I've done in my life. Can't wait to do it again this year! Have a glimpse. And remember, "Leave no trace!"

And when they rolled out the new fanciful "Whispering Willow Fairy" line, they hired JRM to muster up all the whimsy and magic we could to produce a video that captured the essence of the playful, magnificent and mischievous creatures and their magical wonderland of Fairy Glen.

Latis Imports of Ridgefield, Connecticut has been importing some of Belgiums finest beers and wants to make sure America's beer lovers know all about it. Thank you, Leslie Liberatore of HotSkillet Productions, Utah for asking JRM to produce "The Craft Beers News" podcast for your client. In episode one, owner Jan Toye of Palm Brewery gives us a look at the history of Belgiums famous beers his family has been turning out since 1747! (Really enjoyed the first hand research work on this project, burp.....)

JRM was able to take this "huge" idea and place Art right onto a laptop touchpad to demonstrate its power, features and value.

El Morro Elementary Rocks the World - the Right Way!

Announcing completion of a 9 min DVD for Principal Chris Duddy and his California Distinguished School in Laguna Beach. Thanks to Carrie Reynolds of Reynolds Marketing for the connection. This fun and humorous instructional video takes a look at the "wrong way" and "right way" to act and behave at El Morro at arrival, in the classroom, at lunch and play and when they leave the school. The teachers and students were the stars themselves. It was "run & gun" at its finest as we moved about during an actual school day racing the clock, classes and normal school activities to create a humorous look at "The El Morro Way!" We think we met the challenge and Chris agrees.
